What’s a backbrief? According to FM 101-5-1: A briefing by subordinates to the commander to review how subordinates intend to accomplish their mission. This is a commander to commander or one on one briefing. It takes two forms: 1. After the operations order to ensure a subordinates understanding of the mission. 2. When a single commander briefs how he will accomplish the mission.

Why aren’t my books named the typical romance novel type names? Some would argue I like an uphill battle 🙂 . Believe it or not there is a method behind the madness. Each one of my books is named after a military strategy or set of terms:
Rapid Dominance: is another term for Shock and Awerapid dominance over the enemy.
Hostile Home Front: Hostile: An attack or other use of force by any civilian, paramilitary, or military force or terrorist(s) (with or without national designation) against the United States, US forces and, in certain circumstances, US nationals, their property, US commercial assets, or other designated non-US forces, foreign nationals, and their property. Home Front is is the informal term for the civilian populace of the nation at war as an active support system of their military.
Dominant Deception: Dominant: Is really taken from the term dominant maneuver which consists of two elements: strategic and operational. Strategic maneuver equates to the military’s requirement to project the force. It initiates the process of creating an image in the mind of an adversary of an unstoppable force of unequaled competence. Deception was first defined as a military term by the ancient Chinese General Sun Tzu. It is a strategy that seeks to deceive, trick, or fool the enemy and create a false perception in a way that can be leveraged for a military advantage
